I totally agree that being connected and thoughtful about our emotional and spiritual health is a key to our overall health. I think that for the elderly it can be tough especially if they get lonely. That is partly why I have found Assisted Living Business to be an effective help for the elderly. It gives them someone that can be in their lives often and someone that really cares.

What a great interview! I love the quality of the video, and whoever put it together and edited it did a great job (I am starting to get into video editing).
I really love the blank pages idea in Trish’s book – really a nudge that we have the answers!
(I found your site by happenstance today, but and I have been stuck on it for about 20 minutes…a compliment to you and your great content!)

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. The advice to turn away from outer gurus and to turn inward to your own inner guru is the message that I personally got on my second trip to India. I went with a teacher and a group of students. I came home without an outer teacher.

Sometimes I am reminded of this when I try to call a number of different people when I am in the middle of a chaotic situation and no one is home to receive my calls for help. That is the Universe telling me that I have all of the tools to deal with the situation on my own. I have all of my own answers as Trish said.

Wow! Amazing comments. I always love to hear people’s insights and perspectives. Per Rebecca’s comment – I also feel that the questions are what are truly important, because I believe that when we “have” the answer is when we then start to focus on articulating the question – hence as soon as we have the question, we already have the answer – the only question then becomes whether or not we have the courage to look at it:) A bit of a wandering path – but the end result is the same – the power is in the question!

Intuitively, from the moment I first saw Trish, I was attracted. Something inside me said, “Yes.” Odd, then that she would be talking about questions of intuition because I believe it is far more the questions that frame our lives than the answers.
Her whole point in the interview seemed to be, let go of those assumptions that limit us…What makes you cry might be something happy…uncover the deep joy you’ve forgotten to remember…

So true Trish. The answers are inside. Our power resides in the space of the willingness to explore our wisdom.

I do feel that reading books that can help us to tap into our answers can be very, very helpful. But as you say, to rely solely on what the “gurus” say is a way out of taking responsibility for our own life, beliefs, actions and outcomes.
