Steve Mayfield Afterlife Crisis

The truth is, that patiently yearning within the so called ordinary man and woman, boils enough warmth to heat the world.

You feel young but that doesn’t mean the rumpled, smudged, scuffed and puffed look of the calendar age fades. But no matter — you did it! Lived half a life pretty much as an average moe Worked like a bastard Raised a family Enjoyed yourself when you could Stumbled and bumbled along or so you thought

In 2002, Steve wrote and with Ken White (drummer for the Houndz) demoed the trilogy of songs- Shooting Stars and Wishes, The Far Side and Ocean of Storms, that became the foundation for Afterlife Crisis. The music identified so closely with the book, Steve realized he couldn’t separate the two. So despite some opposition, he decided to package the music and the book together to provide a unique, rich experience for his readers and listeners.

First titled The Warmth Rating, the words and music that became Afterlife Crisis sprung from Steve’s own life experiences. Future music novels and non-fiction works are in process.
