Neale Donald Walsch – A Video Interview Book Review

Neale Donald Walsch is best known for his Conversations With God and he’s known as a modern day spiritual messenger.

His newest book, When Everything Changes, Change Everything: In a Time of Turmoil, a Pathway to Peace ,  is the subject of our interview today, but we also went much further in the discussion, even to the point of learning about Soul Agenda. He asks what your Soul’s Agenda?  Do you know yours?  Mine is teaching, learning and service for sure.

I’d love to hear your thoughts – so please leave them below – and include your thoughts about the meditation and your Soul’s Agenda.

He  says all change is good, – do you agree?  Watch this inspirational video to find out why.  I was blessed to be part of an almost ‘quick fix’ instant healing meditation.  It was a surprise to go through it ‘on the fly’ but I most grateful and loved the experience of the healing energy – all the way across the internet waves.

Here’s the book:

Great interview Michelle. Interestingly I have an additional perspective on the “channelling” question. While I’m not caught up in what it’s called specifically, my experience is a little bit different. Since “The Question Journey” was “pushed” to me, I totally agree it comes from the endless wisdom, but I was not meditating, contemplating or anything else when the concept was literally pushed into me, blocking all other thoughts for lack of a better description. Since I have also experienced the flow Neale refers to, where I am a vehicle for Universal data, I do know the difference between the two. My experience with “The Question Journey” was as if I had not been quiet when I should have been, or perhaps not quiet often enough and the Universe (my higher self) was getting impatient with me.

During my experience I had a powerful message that the essence of “The Question Journey” as a process (not implicitly) is pushing us towards an evolution. The essence being to “look inside”. I am seeing and hearing from many people that they are getting the same information coming to them regarding the utilization of questions and moving away from the teachers and gurus. Even the best teachers and gurus carry the same message (Neale Donald Walsh included) – to look inside of ourselves for our answers. Tapping into the Soul Database as it were. I get exactly what Neale’s saying, and I agree completely, but I also believe that there is an additional piece that may be missing – when our higher self is demanding to be heard!

Thanks for all you do Michelle – you’re bringing powerful messages to the world and your gift is needed!

Enjoying the Journey! ~Trish

Trish – I’m always a bit skeptical of channeling ( and didn’t think that Neale was channeling) but I’ve heard enough to know that some people have an ability to ‘tap into’ an collective consciousness – or a supreme being, or angels or …?

Trish Bishop

I was always skeptical of channeling as well. Sometimes I call myself a “vehicle”, but channel is just a word that better describes the sensation. I look at musicians, poets, Einstein – did they sit and think themselves into an inspired moment, or were they channels through which the divine could emerge? I believe we all channel, the degree to which we do is simply a matter of how quiet we allow ourselves to be, or conversely (since I wasn’t being quiet when I felt the Universe push this information through me)how open we are to the experience of it. If we don’t believe in the possibility, then it simply doesn’t exist. But if we believe something is possible, then it is. I think people have a negative connotation with the word “channel” a la street psychics. But it doesn’t negate what is – how many of us on our journeys have sought out those very psychics as a method to find our own answers…?

I so agree that we are ‘divine or divinity’, Gods as Mr. Walsch says. To think we are in this physicality to get to know who we are, well that’s a little difficult for me to wrap my head around…but maybe I shouldn’t try to wrap my head around it, instead maybe wrapping my spiritual being around it is more appropriate.

My passion is like the Dalhi Lama; I want to live a happy life; and believe everyone should be living a happy life; if we are not living a happy life, then the challenge becomes how to make it so.

I do not wish to put on blinders to the mess (environmental, economical, emotional, spirtual, lack of respect and responsibility toward living creatures and the ground beneath our feet) that exists in the physical world. The seriousness of all these things weighs heavy upon my heart; and I feel compelled to do something.

I believe unless we can come into our ‘Godliness’; really recognize who we are, only then can we begin to control and manage the changes that keep happening. This is who we are. We are given this right and responsibility. Once we accept who we are, then we will shed this skin we call a body and transcend into the ethereal plane from which we came.

Trish, I agree with you about the essence of “The Question Journey” as a process is pushing us towards an evolution. We are getting the same information from the best teachers and gurus.

I listened to the Dalai Lama a couple of nights ago when he was speaking at the Library of Congress and he spoke a similar message as Neale Donald Walsh – to look inside of ourselves for our answers. As you say, ‘tapping into the Soul Databas’. Much of what Neale is saying, I’ve known all my life. I didn’t read about it or hear it from somewhere else; it is apart of the universal knowledge which is accessible to all; you are correct; there is an additional piece missing. I’m not sure what to label it.

I’m not concerned about my higher self demanding to be heard; I just keep doing what I’m supposed to do; which I hope reflects my higher self. I am concerned that too few know they have a higher self! That’s why I believe it is so important that those like Neale Donald Walsh, the Dalia Lama and all those guru’s and teachers who have great visibility keep on doing what they do – where they can help as many as possible find their ‘higher self; their ‘Godliness’. Then, they too can take on the responsibility to take charge and control of the changes going on around them.

Great interview Michelle,
While I don’t agree with everything, it was beautiful, gentle, inspirational, and thought provoking.
I’ve been telling people for years that separation is an illusion but most don’t seem to understand and I have felt so alone in that. It was so nice to hear someone else say it!
Again, everything has its perfect timing. As he talked about coming from the soul instead of the mind so much, it resonated with how I’m training myself to come from the heart more than from the mind. His expression of that awareness will help me (and others) even more.
Much of what he shared I’ve also learned as I guess is what comes through the healing of trauma. But his perspective of things happening through us instead of to us was mostly new and uplifting to a whole new level.
And thank you for asking him for the WHO meditation. I haven’t tried it yet, but I can feel that it will be helpful.
Blessings,
Irene

I loved the ‘who’ meditation – I think that was a powerful part of the interview… Not expected you to agree with everything! it is our journey and questioning that is powerful!

Michelle,
What a treat! Aren’t you lucky to hang out with Neale Donald Walsh and actually experience a meditation with him! I love the question “What is Your Soul’s Agenda?”

That’s not something we think about very often. We do, however, consider what other people’s agendas are all the time. We make those agendas more important than our own.

Neale said his Soul’s agenda is wisdom and clarity. What a beautiful way to go through life. Having wisdom and clarity as your pivot point.

Am I being clear? Am I being wise? If I had that in the forefront of my thinking, I’d speak less and listen more. And, that, as they say, is a very good start.

Thank you! I intend to feature this video in my blog carnival on Sunday.

Cheryl,
thanks for the feature! Neale deserves it….. I’m asking that question myself, “what is my soul’s agenda..”
Blessings!

Neale is the master of communication. Almost spellbinding. And you did a magnificent job of interviewing.

Been thinking about Haiti. WHY?

Perhaps the reason for the suffering there was to catapult the world into a spirit of love and giving.

People with so little gave. Their prayers and their small donations.

I think that love has an effect on the world.

Now – to help them.

The conditions under which they lived before the earthquake were desperate.

I have been to Haiti several times and the poverty was indescribable. You really had to see it to believe it.

Perhaps things will be better now as they rebuild.

Michelle Vandepas

Corinne – everything I learned I learned from you! Thank you. I’m working on being ‘more lively’ and not so stoic… I agree- all the love and compassion is one thing that came out of Haiti. Lets hope they get to rebuild better than ever

Loved the interview Michelle. I enjoyed your exchange with Neale and his words of wisdom. I prefer to think, however, that we are even more than an individuation of God as he referred to it. I prefer that we are wholey and completely “gods” ourselves. I loved your getting him to share a short meditation. That was cool! Thanks, again.

Dear Michelle,
What a great connection you made with Neale! So many of our modern pathfinders are saying the same thing in different ways. It is nice to have my inner knowing validated, since being human can sometimes feel so isolating and lonely. Keep asking the questions-your life’s purpose is shedding the light on the path for people like me. Love, Tamara

Oh boy Tamera! You opened a box talking about being human can be lonely.. YES it can, and it doesn’t have to be if we connect to the part of ourselves inside that is connected everywhere…that said, as humans we need touch, interaction, intimacy..

Michelle, the whole concept of creating our experiences is fascinating to me. Some of the tools I use show my clients how to take responsibility for their experiences and shift their perspective so they are no longer operating in victim mode.

When Neale Donald Walsh explained that if we want to experience forgiveness we are really calling forward experiences in which we have opportunities to forgive, it made me think I’d better be clear before I tell people who I am and what I’m about in this incarnation!

geesh… doesn’t it make you think?

Reply

Michelle Vandepas

Ah yes, the whole metaphysical premise of bringing to us what we need to learn can be a bit frustrating at times…:) I didn’t always mean it when I pray for understanding, or to be more forgiving. I don’t really mean to learn it THAT WAY

I agree with some of what Mr. Walsch has to say. I have to say I never heard of him but his belief system is not one I would readily seek out to read.
I am commenting not about what he said but about the interview in general. Good job. Even though I found what he said largely difficult to understand, I found your ability to get him to say it a learning process.

Great Interview! Neal Donald Walsh message comes from truth and is in alignment with my understanding. We incarnate as humans to re-member who we really are by experiencing ourselves as that in a relative world.

Being present as we go through the challenges in life is key to enabling us to own our experiences and stop being victims. It allows us to be aware of the lessons we need to learn, turn our knowledge into true understanding and progress positively on our journey to re-enlightenment.

Keep up the good work Michelle!
