Corine,
Have you considered taking ballet lessons now or have you yet taken some ballet? You may not have been meant to be a professional, but if it’s still a latent desire, consider not letting it be latent or you are essentially holding yourself back from being all that you are. Whatever may be within you that needs expression is Spirit guiding you.
It is never too late to bring to ourselves what we need to be who we are.
Case in point: When I was still a small child I had a blanket that I used to wrap around my head when I slept. I loved this blanket and wasn’t quite ready to let it go when my mother thought it was time. Not a big deal except that I lost something that I still had a connection to.
Fast forward decades later and during a craniosacral session I had the insight that I could still have a blanket if I wanted to because I had the power to choose. I had the power to make that choice whether to have one or not.
Fatefully, my mother had just recently given me an ultra soft blanket as a gift. Since that awareness that I have the power to choose I have used it at my head and it feels right that I do so. It’s lesson is one of empowerment by being true to who I am. The more we allow ourselves to be true to ourselves, the more our purpose will reveal itself to us. Food for thought. Hope this helps.

Corinne – you are correct – after spending years helping others connect with their life purpose I can safely say that in my experience, purpose is an energy – a feeling, not a task or role. – it is the things that bring us joy – but also the parts of us that are sorrowful. Purpose is a tricky one.

The most comforting part of this interview is when Susan assures us that God is always with us – so we are never alone. Thank you for reminding us of that, Susan.

I do take exception to going back to our childhood to discover our life purpose.

I wanted to be a ballet dancer. I was obsessed with it. Thought about it every day for years as a child.

But ballet shoes were $8.00. Lessons were extra. There was no money to indulge me.

It never happened.

I don’t think our life purpose is as small as that. They are not our wishes.

Our life purpose usually does not have to do with a ROLE we want to play. No, not being a mother or playing the piano.

Our core purpose can include those things but it is more overall.

Michelle is a great help to us in discovering what it is. I study everything she teaches.

Ain’t easy. But I am working on it.
