Stuck in a rut? Snap out of it!

Most of us at some point in our lives need a boost to help us to pick ourselves up and take control of our lives. How great would it be if we had someone on hand to tell us to ‘snap out of it’ when we are feeling sorry for ourselves?

Well, now we have! I interviewed DeDe Murcer Moffett recently, and she told me about the inspiration behind her slogan ‘Snap out of it’ – a personal mantra which is the cornerstone of her whirlwind of motivational speaking, radio talk show hosting and music recording.

DeDe shares her story with us, and explains that she had a ‘Snap out of it’ moment a few years ago, when she had suffered from alcoholism for 24 years. She decided it was time to take control of her life. Now recovered, DeDe spends her time creating products designed to help other people find their ‘Snap out of it’ moment!

DeDe runs a radio talk show which features some superb motivational and inspirational messages. She has also recorded a CD of inspirational music designed to awaken us all to our personal capabilities when it comes to achieving our dreams.

By interviewing Marlise, I got to find out much more about the person behind the product, and gained a great overview of who she is and what she does.

A brief biography of Marlise Karlin…

Marlise’s own spiritual journey was fueled by the limitations of her dramatic childhood circumstances – growing up with an alcoholic parent, becoming a teenage runaway, substance abuser and then a young single mother.

She later transformed herself into a successful entrepreneur and award-winning film producer. In 2001, a series of profound experiences completely shifted Marlise’s perception of life forever.

After a period of integration, Marlise was then guided to start sharing The Simplicity of Stillness with the world. Identified by SheKnows.com as an inner-peace expert, Marlise is also an ongoing contributor to The Huffington Post and Malika Chopra’s Intent.com Wellness blog.

Marlise is currently offering Stillness Programs and Retreats around the world, and is also writing her first book to further share what has been given to her.

In this inspirational video with Justine Toms,  she shares just a snippet of the wisdom inside of her heart.  She has learned a thing or two as co-founder of New Dimensions Radio – she and her husband Michael Toms have interviewed and hosted scores of personal growth and spiritual leaders – just about everyone except maybe the Pope .  Justine shares her thoughts of how we are loosing our intimate connections – that we spend less time with people and therefore don’t have a good reflection of ourselves in the world.

Justine leads life purpose workshops and has written this cool little book (Small Pleasures Finding Grace in a Chaotic World)to help us all relax, calm down, and be at peace in today’s wild wild of life.

I loved interviewing this inspirational women who has traveled the world and inside her soul.

No Snacking, no small meals – good healthy three squares a day is the way to go.  (really? I love that -but what about my snacks?)  Be hungry, let yourself feel an empty stomach – it’s good for us!

Learn to get control of your weight and eating.  Although I’m not very much overweight (there’s always that 10 pounds), I do know that I eat when I’m happy, I eat when I’m mad, I eat when I’m sad – all emotional eating for sure. and I loved how Tricia gave me some tips – and some new ways of looking at food.

A Note from Tricia….When people suggested I lose weight by “eating in moderation” or “cutting out sweets”, I knew I couldn’t do it because food was everything to me. I had an insatiable appetite for all the wrong things – and wrong amounts! Strangely, even if I was “filled to the brim” and couldn’t eat any more, I STILL WASN’T SATISFIED!

The truth is that my hunger – especially for the ooey, gooey, chewy foods that were my staple when no one was watching – wasn’t a physical hunger. Every day I lived with a gnawing, gaping, yawn of a hole inside that was screaming to be filled. I had a hunger much deeper that no pastry, doughnut or plate of pasta could satisfy.

Tom Stine – Spiritual Awakening – Consciousness

Tom, from TomStine.com and I discuss everything from what is enlightenment, spiritual awakening and consciousness – and how to really go with the flow!  He has studies Adyashanti whom you may know from his spiritual teachings and youtube videos.  I always have a great time talking with Tom.  I feel comfortable digging in and asking some deep questions. He is a great spiritual leader by just being himself.  I love his gentle approach to spirituality – we can live the best life, and not get to entrenched in trying to figure it all out.  What a gentle soul with a great deal of spiritual wisdom.

Tammie was toilet training 2 toddlers & found there was no portable potty training system on the market so she invented one in 2000. Her son started calling them PottieStickers. In the middle of potty training her 2 toddlers she lost their 3rd child and her husband was diagnosed with cancer. PottieStickers was put to the test with child care providers and neighbors helping to watch the kids while they went to daily radiation. A few weeks later he lost his battle with cancer having no life insurance so she started marketing PottieStickers to support her children and to help other mothers.
